Thomas B. McNemar, MD - Applies Consultation Fee Toward Surgery!
"Your chance to transform your body to what you've always wanted is just a phone call away!"
"Every patient is beautiful and unique. We believe that cosmetic surgery can renew and acentuate one's outer beauty, while enhancing inner beauty and a higher sense of self confidence"
Dr. McNemar is the only board certified plastic surgeon in Tracy!
Dr. McNemar is outstanding! His staff is extremely knowledgable in cosmetic surgery. They were incredibly responsive throughout my entrie process. I love my results!
Dr. Thomas McNemar's practice offers both cosmetic surgery, such as brow lifts, abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, and facelifts, and non-surgical procedures including hair treatments, collagen replacement, and laser treatments. From the start, clients meet with Dr. McNemar. We will usually spend an hour together, discussing what they want to achieve and review their medical history. Then we will conduct a physical so that we can tailor the procedures to meet their needs."
Dr. McNemar has established his successful cosmetic surgery practice by eliminating the layers, and getting up close and personal with each client. "I believe that it's important to have more of a one-on-one relationship with my patients," he explains. "I have created more of a boutique atmosphere in my Tracy and San Ramon offices, with the objective of having my patients feel comfortable interacting with me and my staff."
The surge in demand for cosmetic procedures has been significant over the past several years, helping to fuel the growth of his practice. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), in 2002 there were nearly 6.9 million cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures performed in the United States. The overall number of cosmetic procedures has increased 228% since 1997. And the ASAPS forecasts continued growth as Baby Boomers and Generation X seek options to retain a more youthful appearance.
Of equal importance to formal education and professional dedication, is Dr. McNemar's philosophy that every patient is truly beautiful and unique. He understands individuals elect to pursue cosmetic surgery for very simple reasons to extremely complicated situations. Whatever the explanation, rest assured that after benefiting from Dr. McNemar's education, natural abilities, and commitment to excellence, the patient's outer beauty will be renewed and accentuated, while inner beauty is further exposed, revealing a higher sense of self and confidence.
Working with an experienced physician is an essential part of achieving the desired changes to one's appearance. Dr. McNemar explains that a part of his responsibility is to be candid with a client. "Sometimes I will recommend that the patient consider waiting for a period of time before having the procedure done so that they will gain the maximum benefit from it. And there are instances where the patient's health or other circumstances will cause me to recommend against their having anything done-patient safety and health are an integral part of my practice." Many people don't realize that cosmetic surgery can extend beyond nips and tucks to complex reconstructive surgery due to accidents or illness. "I have had breast cancer patients who had a double mastectomy and needed extensive reconstruction," he explains. "The procedure involved not only a tissue transfer from the abdomen, but required the use of implants to try and achieve symmetry and help them obtain their desired body image."
As a member of Stanford University's faculty, Dr. McNemar stays current on the many ongoing developments in cosmetic technologies, as well as meeting with other doctors in his field, and observing new techniques that they have developed. "An essential part of being a cosmetic surgeon is staying abreast of the latest and newest technologies, and incorporating those that are appropriate into my practice, whether they be non surgical or surgical modalities."
Ultimately, his goal is to bring state-of-the-art procedures to his clients without sacrificing the personal touch. His growing practice attests to the success of this combination.
