We pride ourselves on being a full service plastic surgery office. Our primary goal is always to provide you with as pleasant, unintimidating, and stress free experience as possible. Our staff is here to help you with your decisions and to guide you through this exciting process. When you arrive at our office, Judy, our receptionist will greet you and assist you with your paperwork. After your consultation, you will meet with Mary Pasache, our patient coordinator. She will be your most valuable resource for scheduling questions and financial concerns. She will be your point person for any issues that may arise in planning your surgical experience, and any nonsurgical concerns that you may have after. Once your surgery is completed, you will meet Nurse Mari, who helps us with our postoperative care. Our patients love her and rely on her for answering some of the more straight-forward post-operative questions that may arise. Mari may also assist the doctor in your pre-operative evaluation appointment before surgery. The rest of our staff is in the back office, but just as important. Sharron takes care of our billing and insurance issues, and Diane obtains authorizations for surgery from insurance companies and assists with scheduling surgeries. You may have some occasion to need to speak with them. Please do not hesitate to do so. We hope that you enjoy your visit with us. Dr. Horton likes to perform her consultations in person because so that the best individualized information can be provided. Mary Pasache, the Patient Coordinator, can give you further information and can schedule you an appointment. Initial consultations usually last for 45 minutes to one hour. Plan to arrive about 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Please contact us to schedule an appointment. Dr. Karen Horton specializes in cosmetic and breast surgery for women. Dr. Horton is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon practicing in the Pacific Heights area of San Francisco and in the East Bay. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree with F

Doctor Horton is a Fellowship trained, Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. She attended a top ranked Medical School and did her Plastic Surgery Residency at a prestigious and selective University in Canada.  She recognizes the value of the mind/body connection in healing and has incorporated these techniques into the surgical process.

Dr. Horton offers her patients the unique combination of surgical and artistic expertise.  As a woman, she also understands the issues that their patients face regarding body image and self esteem.

Dr. Karen Horton specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body and reconstructive surgery of the breast.

She additionally has formal training in Reconstructive Microsurgery, and performs complex reconstructive microsurgical procedures of the breast including the DIEP flap, the SIEA flap, the TUG (inner thigh) free flap and others.
