D.M.D.: University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, 1975.

Specialty: Prosthodontics, University of Pennsylvania, Post-Doctoral Specialty, 1979.
M.S.Ed: University of Pennsylvania, School of Graduate Education, 1981.
Sculpting: Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Part-time: 1995 to Present.
Dr. Tobey, a sculptor as well as a dentist, was trained at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated "With Honors", before being selected to enter the Post Doctoral Graduate Program which gave him three more years of advanced training in Prosthodontics (the aesthetic repairing or replacment of teeth) and Periodontics (gum specialist). This Dual Specialty Program has given this office the ability to diagnose and treat any of your dental concerns or problems at a highly advanced level... from Power Bleaching to Veneers to Implants to Full Mouth Reconstruction.

Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
There have been so many that it is hard to mention only one 'most' rewarding experience. Perhaps the woman who would NEVER (and it truly was NEVER!)smile because of broken and discolored and misshapen teeth could be the one that was the very most special. She was to be married and needed to have a Make Over in an extremely short time....... which we did and her tears and thanks were a great reward.... And the wedding photos of her smiling were fantastic! A Beautiful, Beautiful Smiling Bride!
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
I love combining my skills in Dentistry with my skills as an Artist/Sculptor. Every day I get to 'Sculpt a Beautiful Smile'!
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
I love to create the 'perfect' smile! It is different for every one of our patients, and I get to work with each of them to make their ideal smile into reality! It is truly the ART and the Science of Dentistry!
