For most of my life, I’ve had one burning desire… to have a beautiful smile. I like to smile, because I’m an upbeat, optimistic person and a smile is the signature of who I am. But my parents were children of the Great Depression and money spent on a dentist was considered money wasted. Consequently, I grew up with what God gave me and I reached adulthood with uneven, chipped, and discolored teeth. Later in life, I developed prostate cancer but was successfully treated with radiation. However, the radiation had devastating effects on my already poor teeth. My smile was used less than a sled in the Arizona desert! And then I found Dr. Rani Chatterjee and her staff at the Center For Gentle Dentistry. They showed me photos of what they could do to improve my smile with dental restoration. Their professional attitude and dedication to gentle dentistry convinced me to have the work done and I am deliriously happy with the results. For the first time in my entire life, I can smile without embarrassment. And do you know what else I have learned since undergoing Dr. Chatterjee’s procedures? People have told me that I look younger now. Of course, I’m not any younger, but it’s very obvious to me now, that my poor teeth and diminished smile made me look a lot older. Dr. C. Rani Chatterjee established the Center For Gentle Dentistry to focus on the growing needs of Valley residents, especially busy professionals and dental phobics. She offers a unique approach to dentistry that provides her patients with the gentle skill and one-on-one communication that they have grown to value from their provider.
Dr. Chatterjee earned her dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Her dental implant certification was awarded by The Misch International Implant Institute in Detroit, Michigan. She also attended The University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Business Administration. Additionally, she is certified by St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center and the American Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia in Dentistry as a Parenteral Conscious Sedation Provider.
Dr. Chatterjee believes that open communication is the key to a positive dental experience. That is why she will always take the time to provide reassurance and explanation regarding the procedures being performed as well as answer any questions that you may have.
