Recommendation
| I am 57yrs old and was tired of wearing glasses and/or contacts.On my first visit to Dr.D's eye center, they did a complete and thorough examination. I was far sighted with astigmatism. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes. I now have mono-vision. I am Left eye dominate. The left eye was made to see distance, while my right eye was made to read. After surgery, I had some sensitivity to light. But I had some sensitivity before Lasik. I also have a little trouble with the "halo effect" at night while driving. This "halo effect" is improving however. My surgery was in April 2002. Dr D. and her staff are professionals and they treat all their patients as if they were the only patient. They answered all my questions and informed me of the risks. My surgery was done on closed curcuit television for anyone to watch who may have been considering this kind of surgery.After surgery there was a question/answer session, for me and the doctors.The entire procedure(from prep time to the end of question/answer session) took less than an hour. Actual surgery time was about 10 minutes.Doctor DiStefano told me what to expect, the sounds I would hear and what she was doing through the entire procedure. I could not have asked for better treatment from Dr. D her associate Dr.Badahur and the rest of the laser team.Follow-up exams are the same. I could not have asked for better treatment and I cannot tell you what a pleasure it is to finally see without the aid of glasses, which I have had to use for the past thirty years or so.I recommend Lasik surgery to anyone who is a cadidate.And I highly recommend the DiStefano Laser Center.
