Educational Background

• Dr. Bunin graduated near the top of her class from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, annually ranked as the #1 or #2 medical school in the country. She did a sub-internship in dermatology and extra work in plastic surgery while there
• After receiving her M.D. degree (Doctor of Medicine), she completed a medical internship at Winthrop University Hospital and then a three year residency in Ophthalmology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia (ranked in the top programs in the country)
• Dr. Bunin did additional specialty training in ophthalmic plastic surgery (plastic surgery of the tissues around the eyes: the eyelids, eyebrows, and face) in Atlanta and at Wills Eye Hospital, and was the first oculoplastic specialist in the Lehigh Valley
• She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and has received many honors and awards throughout her career
• She has done research on cosmetic products and their effects on the eyes, eyelids, and skin, on Botox and fillers, on cosmetic lasers, and has developed new surgical techniques
• She has lectured extensively at major meetings across the country
