Dr. John Feng dedicates himself to the surgical treatment of obesity and is a highly trained expert in Laparoscopic, or Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Feng has developed many areas of expertise in his practice and authored numerous articles on many of these subjects. He is the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery Services at Sequoia Hospital after his term as the first Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at California Pacific Medical Center, which is an American Society for Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. Dr. Feng's enthusiastic efforts and expertise as their Medical Director allowed California Pacific Medical Center achieve this award. His efforts at Sequoia have created an even better environment in which patients receive excellent, expert care during their stay for surgery and success afterwards. Not only has he performed a great many laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and duodenal switch procedures, but his expertise and experience in performing laparoscopic restrictive vertical sleeve gastrectomy and Lap-Band surgeries have helped even more patients be successful in their weight loss goals while minimizing risks. Currently, his interests have also focused on revising patients who have had gastric bypass surgery but using "cutting-edge," incisionless techniques without actual cutting on the abdomen, such as Stomaphyx and even better, the ROSE procedure. |

Dr. Paul Cirangle is a pioneer and thought leader in the field of Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He has been invited to speak and present his work both in the United States and Internationally.
His area of expertise is Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery (surgery for the treatment of obesity).
Dr. Cirangle has authored numerous original articles and book chapters on these topics. He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), American Society for Bariatric Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), International College of Surgeons (ICS) and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). He is also a member of Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and serves as Chairman of the Public Information Committee for that society.
Dr. Cirangle holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Uniformed Services University School of Medicine. He has the privilege of practicing in Hawaii as well as in the Bay Area. He is currently the Medical Director of the Surgical Weight Loss Center of Hawaii and The Minimally Invasive Surgery Center of Hawaii and the Pacific. |
