Specialized Support Groups
There are two specialized support groups for patients who have had bariatric surgery. Bariatric Support Group is specifically for patients who have had bariatric surgery within the last 12 months. Bariatric Support Group II is for patients who have had bariatric surgery over 12 months ago. Each Support Group offers additional educational and networking opportunities for participants.

It wasn't until several years ago that new techniques were employed to make a small gastric pouch stay small. Today, we utilize new techniques and incorporate a different part of the stomach in order to control how large that small pouch will get. Typically, revising the size of the pouch or the size of the anastamosis (opening at the bottom of the pouch) or the length of the roux limb can correct the problem.
