Educate yourself. He holds informational meetings regularly at West Marion Hospital (everyone is welcome). He also is involved with ongoing support group meetings held monthly for pre-op, post-op patients and anyone seriously considering gastric bypass surgery. The group support is great.
My surgery was done Nov. 2003. I lost 130 pounds and feel like my life was saved. This year Dr. Jawad did a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) for me and I feel like a new person. I tried to talk my sister into coming to Florida to have her surgery done by this great physician. She had to have it done in NY and suffered many ...well lets just say... you want your loved ones to be cared for by the best.
