An inside interview with LocateADoc.com
Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
I treated a patient for facial asymetry resulting from Bell's palsy 26 years earlier. After her treatment, for the first time in 26 years she participated in her Family potraits for Christmas. She was in tears when she thanked me. That meant a lot to me!
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
The ability to listen to my patient's needs, being a woman in 4o's ability to relate to my patients and above all having the aesthetic sense to achieve just the right outcome, not too much and not too little.
Finish this sentence: If I weren't a doctor I would be___.
..an architect. I have a passion to take older buildings and make them most apealing and comfortable while staying within the original conforms.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
A perfect outcome of any procedure is not a transformation into someone else. I practice minimally invasive cosmetic and aesthetic procedure and to me a perfect outcome means achieving maximum improvement in any particular skin type or body type with no long term complications and patient satisfaction.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
I am particularly excited about Rhytec Potrait plasma skin regeneration. I have been very satisfied with the outcome. More and more of baby boomers are looking for surgical alternatives for faical sagging and aging. This is by far the best treatment available to actually reverse skin dammage and regenerate new collagen for tremendous improvement in skin tone, texture and elasticity. Patient downtime is minimal and satisfaction is very high with this proceudre
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
Acne treatments:
I see so many people, adults and adolescents, with moderately severe acne who do not seek professional help. I have had such a rewarding experience treating Acne in all age groups. The results are far beyond cosmetic! Its the change in personality, the uplifting mood and the boost of confidence that I find invigorating!!
It truly makes my job worth every bit of effort me and my office staff put into it.
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
I really enjoy my work. I have great staff, I love my patients and work the hours that are suitable to me. I dont want to think about completely giving up the practice. If I ever slow down, I would like to take more time off and spend time in the mountains with my family.
