1) I first went to see Dr. Trayford because actions, thoughts, and duties that had once come very easy to me were becoming increasingly hard for me to handle and do. This was becoming progressively more frustrating to me as well as my friends, family, and business partners.
When I first arrived for my assessment Dr. Trayford noticed that I was a right arm amputee. As I began telling him about all the troubles I had been having, he quickly realized that everything I was telling him was left brain functions. He then pulled out his medical books and showed me that input to the left side of your brain mainly comes from using your right arm. Dr Trayford gave me exercises to stimulate the use of the left side of my brain and told me to wear my prosthesis at least a couple times a week.
Over the next six months testing showed an increase in the use of and activity in my left brain. Many of the things that I was having trouble with gradually started becoming easier for me again. I am now able to hold intelligent conversations with people again without becoming easily lost, confused, and unable to respond which is making my friends and family happy too. My life has become much less stressful over the last few months and I have become much happier as well.
