Classical True Acupuncture is about taking care of, listening to, and understanding the individual and his/her current state of health, and not about the application of theoretical protocols.
During my studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I met an individual who introduced me to Classical True Acupuncture. It was at this time that I realized that Classical True Acupuncture filled in the missing piece that TCM did not address. For me, it was how I had imagine acupuncture to be - it is a "truer" root form of acupuncture than TCM, which has evolved into a more standardized & herbalized form of acupuncture.
Classical True Acupuncture relies on detailed pulse taking & precise point location to maximize therapeutic results with minimal number of needles and treatments.With this style, treatments are only as needed (rarely more than once per week), unlike other treatment plans which require a patient to return 2-3 times per week.
