Labia Minora/Majora Surgery

Labiaplasy Surgery Sante Fe NM

A labia reduction of the outer vaginal lips makes the genital area less bulky. This woman felt awkward since her pelvic area swells outward, especially when wearing a bathing suit. Although labiaplasty usually refers to labia minora reduction, it also may apply to changes in the anatomy of the outer vaginal lips. In labia majora reduction, the size of the outer lips is decreased, and occasionally wrinkles on the surface of the outer vaginal lips are smoothed.

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and I'm wondering if its normal to be persistently itchy all over my body. If its not normal, how can I fix it?

there is part of my minor labia lips that has exces skin that goes into a ball that resembles a small brain. a; should i be worried and b; is there anyway i can just get rid of it like how they tie babies belly buttons?

what instruments do you use for a labiaplasty?

I'm 13 years old and I'm very self conscious about my self. And like my mama passed so I don't tell no body because I don't feel comfortable to tell anyone. But when I'm 18 I'm getting some money and I'm going to get the surgery and I'm really scared boys will judge me. Does the surgery hurt? Is it painful?

What is the cost of vaginoplasty?

Education

Dr. Maria L. Rodriguez is originally from southern Colorado. She attended Lake Forest College in Illinois. Her desire to return to her home state brought her back in 1975 to attend medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. But because of the superior surgical training program, she chose to do her internship and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of New Mexico Hospital.

She completed her residency in OB/GYN in 1983. She had already chosen Santa Fe as the place she wanted to practice. The Santa Fe Indian Hospital had an opening and had an incredible backlog of surgery that needed to be performed. In her 2 year stint there, she did as much surgery as it would have taken her 6 years to do in private practice.

n 1985, Dr. Rodriguez became Board Certified. By this time, she had developed an interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery which was somewhat new at that time. During the next two years, she took many courses with leading physicians who were the first to do these procedures in this country. She invested thousands of dollars in getting educated on the highly specialized techniques required to perform advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Rodriguez’s practice and her other partners at that time were the first in the state to begin advanced laparoscopic surgery by purchasing the equipment necessary to perform advanced laparoscopic surgery at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. Today, most of her surgeries are performed through the laparoscope including hysterectomy, removing ovaries, treating endometriosis and many other procedures. She is partial to using this type of surgery as it is less painful, there is less down time for the patients and they return to work and their normal activities much quicker than with traditional surgeries.
