Education
David P. Deutsch, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia in 1981 and his Masters in Anatomy from New York University in 1983, followed by his M.D. from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri in 1987.
He completed his general surgery residency at State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1992, followed by his cardio-thoracic residency at University of Rochester, New York in 1994.
Dr. Deutsch joined Bosley after eight years of private surgical practice in Long Beach and his own practice of General, Bariatric & Thoracic Surgery in Bellflower, California. Dr. Deutsch has also had staff appointments at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, St. Marys Medical Center, Long Beach and Lakewood Regional Medical Center over the past eight years.
Dr. Deutsch is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgery.
