Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
A patient that had undergone multiple previous procedures for cleft lip. I performed a revision and the smile on the patients face and the change in their outlook was extremely rewarding. Teh patient has continued to send me cards every year describing how much her life has improved.
What is your charity organization of choice and why?
Special olympics- This organization provides a great opportunity for children with severe handicaps
What does living in the Englewood community mean to you?
The experience of dealing with so many different types of people who come from so many various backrounds.
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
Plastic surgery really involves taking care of the entire patient. Both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery take place on almost any body part.

an inventor. I enjoy the opportunity to learn about new procedures and new technoloiges.
When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
When I was in high school I fracture my wrist and that when I new that I wanted ot be a surgeon
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
Breast Reduction: I combines both functional and cosmetic aspects. The patients are happy with their appearance as well as the fact that their back pain is usually resolved
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
I really love performing abdominoplasty and would like to perform more of them. Frequently combinening this was breast augmentation or a mastopexy really creates a great change for the patient
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
I would go to Italy and study ancient roman history

Education
Dr. David Abramson was born in New York City and raised in Tenafly, New Jersey where he received his early education. He was accepted at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore where he completed his undergraduate studies and graduated Phi Beta Kapa. He continued his education at New York University School of Medicine where he received his degree in 1988, serving as his graduating class President.
Following medical school, Dr. Abramson completed a residency in General Surgery at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. In 1993 he moved to Boston, Massachusetts where he embarked upon a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Harvard/Brigham/Children's Division of Plastic Surgery.
