Custom Acoustic Lipo
As each year passes, more and more doctors in the United States are performing Custom Acoustic Liposuction (CAL) to remove stubborn or unwanted fat on your stomach, thighs, hips or buttocks. For an expert opinion, talk to cosmetic surgery doctors or board-certified plastic surgery doctors to see if Custom Acoustic Lipo is right for you.
Custom Acoustic Lipo is a relatively new technique where low-frequency sound waves guide the small tube (cannula) through your fat cells. Check out some of our liposuction before and after photos to see real people who've had the surgery.
How Custom Acoustic Lipo is Performed
Your liposuction surgeon will first administer a numbing solution through the cannula. Then 3-D vibrations are sent through the tube to large areas of unwanted fat. The vibes help your surgeon move and direct the cannula more easily through tougher areas being treated with liposuction. Some surgeons prefer Custom Acoustic Lipo because it features an automatic shutoff for when it reaches non-fatty tissue. Another feature of CAL is that the cannula doesn’t get hot, so the unwanted fat cells can be removed and then used as a filler in another part of your body.
