My Approach to Therapy:
In my work I help clients look more closely at their immediate problems and work together to understand underlying issues and develop practical solutions. I find Cognitive-Behavioral therapy techniques helpful in discovering how our thoughts and actions have an important impact our daily lives. I also utilize an Object Relations approach to therapy, which focuses on how our early life experiences influence the way we see ourselves and how we understand relationships as adults.
Therapy is learning process. In sessions I work collaboratively with my clients to understand what is keeping unhealthy patterns in place, and ultimately finding more healthy ways of living.
