My kids have been with Dr. Gartmond for six years now. I which doctors when my company changed insurance carriers. I wasn't to sure that she was going to give my kids the best care. But after the first visit I was stuck for life with her. I have since had another child that she came to the hospital to check and stop by my room to visit. She have help with problems regarding other mothers that she was not seeing. She takes her time to care, listen and talk with not only the parents but the kids as well. I would recommend her to anyone as many chances I get.
My son has been seeing Dr. Gartmond for 4 1/2 years, and we are very pleased with the level of care he has received. Dr. Gartmond is very thorough and attentive, and will carefully explain every aspect of her diagnosis. From day one my wife and I received helpful hints, and things to expect for every stage that my son went through. For the first four years, Dr. Gartmond was outside of our primary network, but the quality of care was so good, it was well worth the out of network charge for our son to see her. I would recommend Dr. Gartmond without hesitation. She is truly a gifted physician.
My children have been treating with Dr.Gartmond since 1996. She was in my group health network and the first time my child was seen he was running a fever of 105 and she immediately started him on antibiotics and ran blood work to determine cause of the spiked fever, though every thing came back normal she took the necessary precautions which probably saved his life. I had been seen by another Dr. prior to seeing her and was told to let it run it's course he had a cold? My youngest son went in for a routine check up and was weezing a little she was just about to let him leave and she told my husband to wait she wanted to check something she lifted the onesie he had on the see his breathing and his chest was caving up and down she immediately called 911 and had an ambulance come to the office as she did not have much supply as he needed of oxygen on site, my son was in the being stages of respiratory failure and stayed in egleston for 3 days which she came by daily to check on him he was only 3mos. old and we could have lost him if it hadn't been for her! I hold both my childrens lifes in her hands and do so gratefully! Thank you Dr.Gartmond I can sleep at night!
