Carolyn Glazer-Hockstein, MD joined Chester County Eye Care Associates in 2005 to provide additional coverage to our growing retina and vitreous diseases service. Dr. Glazer-Hockstein specializes in medical retina using the latest laser and injection therapies for retinal diseases. She also provides comprehensive ophthalmic care including cataract surgery. Her warm personality and commitment to patient care follows in the tradition of the Chester County Eye Care practice.
Dr. Glazer-Hockstein is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She completed her residency in ophthalmology in 2003, and a two-year medical retina fellowship in 2005 at the Scheie Eye Institute, University of Pennsylvania. She is an Attending Surgeon in the Department of Ophthalmology at Chester County Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School.
Dr. Glazer-Hockstein received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating Cum Laude in 1999. While at Jefferson she was inducted into the Hobart Armory Hare medical honor society, awarded the Carroll R. Mullen Memorial Prize in Ophthalmology, and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. At the Scheie Eye Institute, University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Glazer-Hockstein received the honor of serving as chief resident her senior year of residency.
Dr. Glazer-Hockstein has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and has given national presentations on retinal disease.
