1. Better Tanning

Having naturally oily skin makes it easier to tan and reduces the need for dousing yourself in suntanning oil. You still need sunscreen however, as your skin type won’t protect you against the sun’s harmful UV rays.

2. Reduced Fine Lines

Oily skin hides fine lines and wrinkles, reducing the visible signs of aging. So while you might be 40, you could appear much younger that those with different skin types.

3. Soft Skin And Fresh Complexion

The oil produced on your skin provides a natural glow without having to shell out money for extra products. Additionally, your skin will be softer after time due to the natural moisturizer your body produces.

Disadvantages

1. Risk For Acne

One of the biggest causes of acne, according to a dermatologist, is the clogging of your pores by oil. Because your skin produces an excess amount of oil, the likelihood of you having breakouts increases.

2. Constant Care

Having oily skin means you are required to wash your face thoroughly, especially at night. By skipping the cleaning process, oil will continue to build up, congesting your pores and creating a surplus of oil on your face, making the application of makeup more difficult.

3. Shiny Face

While oily skin can provide you with a natural glow, it can also make your face appear shiny. And unfortunately, a dermatologist will advise against the constant use of products to dry it out. This can cause your body to counteract what you have blotted away, resulting in an increase in oil production.
