After a Friday night appearance at the TriBeCa Pride Rally in New York, Twitter saw some buzz with speculation of plastic surgery by Lady Gaga to thin her nose.
Fueled by the Mirror UK's "before and now" pictures of what appears to be a thinner nose, Mehran Khaghani posted "@ladygaga That's some conspicuous plastic surgery, Miss Born This Way!! #justsayin!"
The 27 year old singer has kept a low profile after canceling 22 dates of a US tour in February for a hip operation for severe joint inflammation, according to the Mirror.
"I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have," Lady Gaga has been quoted in the past. This created the context for tweets such as this one from Stas Popkov:
"My idol has changed. What's wrong with you, @ladygaga? Botox? Plastic surgery? Monstors worry :("
Fans also took to Twitter including @peculiarmonster saying, "It's a shame that all these websites are reporting about @ladygaga's rumoured plastic surgery instead of the amazing speech she gave."
"You saved me, my friends in the LGBT community, time and time again. And I saw God for the first real time in all of you," Lady Gaga said to the crowd at the rally. "You understood my need to hide behind the wigs, the glasses, the glamour, the clothing -- the fantasy that set me free. My passion for theatre, my passion for art, my worth as a woman."
She followed her speech with her own version of the National Anthem including the lyric, "Oh say, does our star-spangled flag of pride yet wave."
