Striving to be perfect can become an obsession that leads to plastic surgery, but what’s wrong with wanting to look perfect for your wedding day? For many brides-to-be, looking picture-perfect for the wedding is a high priority and some are willing to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on cosmetic treatments and plastic surgery procedures. The “bridalplasty” trend continues to grow as more brides want to look like their favorite celebrity or just achieve their ideal figure.
According to a recent story in the UK’s Daily Mail, brides of yesterday would just splurge on manicures, and perhaps a professional haircut and style, and makeup application. Today’s bride is taking things one step further by going under the knife for what can sometimes be a complete transformation.
The Daily Mail reports that growing numbers of women are “often influenced by the vanity of celebrity brides – and are by-passing the beauty salon for the operating table in their determination to look nothing less than perfect on their wedding day.”
Some of the most popular procedures for these brides include Botox injections, fillers, liposuction, and breast augmentation. For many, the risks associated with the procedur are worth it when the bride can feel confident in her wedding gown and look perfect for her wedding day.
