The report, released by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, says the “I will Always Love You” singer was found in a bath tub filled with 13 inches of scalding water. The medical examiner believes Houston could have died in temperatures nearing 150 degrees when she got into the bath tub. The tub’s water temperature was still 93.5 degrees, two hours after the singer’s approximate time of death. The medical examiner’s report says the water was so hot; it burned her back and caused “skin slippage” on the singer’s legs.
