According to a recent report by The Harley Medical Group, surgeons in Orange County noted a steady increase in demand for plastic surgery procedures for the few weeks up to Christmas. They also found that many patients had put procedures like Botox on their Christmas to-do lists because they wanted to kick off the New Year with a fresh new look.
Botox, tummy tucks, and breast augmentation procedures continue to be among the most-coveted procedures among women and even more so for women who have recently given birth. These procedures can reverse some of the signs of aging and create a more youthful appearance.
Orange County, California is one of the most popular destinations for plastic surgery and surgeons there have become experts in “mommy makeovers” and anti-aging procedures.
Demand for these and other procedure is expected to stay strong through 2012 as the economy improves and more Americans are comfortable with spending more money on self-improvement and luxury purchases. The popularity of cosmetic procedures still stayed relatively strong despite the recession in 2009 and 2010. Demand for eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, liposuction, and butt lifts in particular increased or stayed steady throughout the economic downturn.
