Sherri Cook insists that the only way she is going to look good and feel good about herself is with a breast augmentation procedures. She’s 75 years old and underwent a breast lift and breast implants to improve her figure and restore her youthful silhouette. She states, “I always tell my husband that older women end up looking like oatmeal boxes, or matchsticks. I don’t want to look like either one of those!”
She says that she doesn’t expect to have the same body as she did when she was younger, but she still wants a youthful figure. She admits that her breasts would never look good without the help of a plastic surgeon, but she still strives to look as good as she can with or without surgery.
Cook is among the many senior citizens who are heading to the plastic surgeon’s office to improve their looks. The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reports on a recent cosmetic surgery boom among senior citizens, stating that nearly 85,000 people over the age of 65 had cosmetic surgery in 2010 alone.
Many seniors like Cook want to defy the signs of aging by undergoing body contouring procedures and cosmetic surgery that will restore their youthful looks for good. Breast lifts, tummy tucks, full body lifts and skin tightening procedures are among the most popular cosmetic procedures for this age group.
