Asclera Injections Offer Alternative Spider Vein Removal Treatment Option

Many men and women who have spider veins on their legs, arms and in some areas of the face seek out sclerotherapy treatments that work to damage the cell lining of the blood vessels and make the veins disappear. Spider veins are similar to varicose veins in structure, but are much smaller and typically begin as tiny capillaries. They may be blue, purple or red in color, and typically appear on the surface of the calves, ankles, thighs, and sometimes on the face. These veins typically appear in a pattern that looks like small branches on a tree, but may also be linear and appear as  thin, separate lines. Sclerotherapy is an in-office procedure that can take just five to 30 minutes, depending on the severity and type of veins being treated. This type of treatment can be painful, but Asclera has proven to cause less pain than traditional treatments.

Colorado Facelift Surgeons Report Benefits of Mini Facelift

A group of facelift surgeons in Colorado are pointing to the benefits of the mini facelift procedure, a procedure that can be performed without extensive surgery. The mini facelift is performed using a set of cosmetic injectable fillers, including Botox, Restylane, Juvederm and other leading fillers to plump up lines and wrinkles, improve the texture of the skin, and reduce muscular contraction to prevent the further formation of wrinkles.

Dr. Steven Vath and Dr. Andrew Wolfe of Denver, Colorado believe that Botox and other injectables can be very effective for reducing or eliminating the signs of aging. While the mini facelift, also known as the “liquid facelift”, does not involve any repositioning of facial tissues or a tightening of the skin, the procedure does offer a number of benefits for those who don’t want to or don’t need to undergo extensive surgery. The mini facelift does only provide temporary results, but is a non-invasive procedure that can be an attractive alternative to surgery for many.

In a traditional facelift, the surgeon must make a long incision around the scalp that runs down the hairline and around the ear. In a mini facelift, only a small incision is made from the sideburn hairline down to the ear, leaving most of the hairline untouched. This incision typically heals very quickly and is barely noticeable within weeks after the procedure. The procedure can also slightly tighten the underlying tissue without affecting the facial nerves, and thereby reduces the risk of nerve damage.
