Today’s facelift surgery alternatives include the Threadlift and the liquid facelift where doctors administer a series of dermal fillers into various facial compartments to get rid of wrinkles and create a more youthful appearance.
A new facelift alternative is on the horizon and will be unveiled at the 6th Annual Facial Cosmetic Surgery International Multi-Specialty Symposium in Las Vegas this summer. Beverly Hills facial plastic surgeon Payman Simoni, MD, FACS will be showcasing an innovative procedure and demonstrating techniques of the Simoni Lift™.
This minimally-invasive face lift procedure can be performed within an hour or 90 minutes and does not require any anesthesia. The doctor makes a series of small incisions around the patient’s ears so that they can then tighten loose facial tissues around the neck, jowls and the middle of the face. Dr. Simoni explains that this procedure is very different than a lunchtime lift or a mini facelift, and that he is “able to achieve results that are just as good, if not better than a traditional facelift using these methods.”
The key benefits of the Simoni Facelift include shorter recovery times than traditional plastic and cosmetic skin rejuvenation procedures, less bruising and swelling, and reduced health risks associated with procedures that involve general anesthesia.
The patient stays wide awake during the entire procedure, and it is performed in an inclined position. The best candidates for the Simoni Lift may be those who are noticing the premature signs of aging, and have loose or sagging skin around the neck, jawline and lower facial region. This procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis and promises very little downtime, making it easier for patients to return to regular activities shortly after their surgery.
Dr. Simoni is the founder of the Simoni Plastic Surgery Center in Beverly Hills and has been featured in The New York Times, OK! Magazine, and on The View and Entertainment Tonight for his work.
