Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group in the United Kingdom has unveiled its 2010 calendar, the first calendar n the world where each model featured has had some form of cosmetic or plastic surgery.
The women in the Transform 2010 calendar have undergone multiple operations at Transform clinics around the country, and serve as model examples of what the doctors are capable of achieving at the center.
The calendar will be available for sale at Transform’s 24 clinics for 2 pounds per calendar, and the proceeds will be donated to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), a children’s charity dedicated to stopping child abuse.
The Transform Calendar was also designed to celebrate the company’s 35th birthday and features 20 of Transform’s staff members from the company’s head office and clinics across the country. The age of the models range from 25 to 57 and the candidates have had everything from facial peels to liposuction and breast augmentation.
Pat Dunion, the Operation Director for Transform, interviewed with the UK’s The Sun about the calendar, stating that, “We are all about making people look good and this shows off our work while raising much-needed charity funds…the calendar is tongue-in-cheek, but tasteful. It features girls from across our company of all ages and they all look amazing.”
Cosmetic surgery in the UK has not experienced any major dips in demand from the recession, and experts are predicting a 10 percent increase in demand for all types of procedures through 2010, reports The Sun. Transform opened its first clinic in 1975 and initially specialized only in varicose vein removal and hair treatments. The clinics now offer a wide range of anti aging procedures and cosmetic procedures including breast augmentation, liposuction, facial peels, nose surgery, tummy tucks and cosmetic surgery.
