While push up bras and silicone breast implants allow many women to enhance their silhouette and increase their breast size, some beauty product companies are offering an alternative solution for breast enhancement.
Skincare specialists argue that tightening and toning the skin, improving the skin's elasticity and nourishing the skin with protective emollients and moisturizers is all it really takes to give the chest area a boost.
The makers of Mama Mio Boob Tube (above) claim that 'Women from all agegroups are falling in love with boob tube as part of their daily skin regiment. Some women use it as a pre-bikini booster...'
Mama Mio retails for $38 for a 3.4 oz. tube, and is made with several skin-enhancing ingredients including Evening Primrose Oil, shea butter, avocado oil, olive oil, dandelion root and CoQ10. These ingredients leave the skin well-hydrated and nourished, and compounds such as CoQ10 are often used in anti-aging serums because of their collagen strengthening properties. The product has reportedly been used by celebrities including Christy Turlington, Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Beals.
While these products can keep the skin looking healthy and hydrated, there is no scientific evidence that a topical treatment can create long-lasting results similar to a breast enhancement procedure. Breast implants and breast lifts continue to be a permanent, effective solution for thousands of women who want to enhance their figure and feel better about themselves.
