Hit reality TV shows including Dr. 90210, Nip Tuck and Extreme Makeover continue to draw in top ratings season after season, and a new crop of cosmetic surgery-themed reality shows are on the rise. It's clear that America is hooked on the idea of dramatically changing one's life by changing the appearance, and the number of cosmetic surgery procedures performed each year continues to reach record levels.
Momlogic is one of the latest shows on the horizon, and is currently recruiting participants in the L.A. area to feature recently-divorced mothers who have turned to plastic surgery as an outlet or hobby.
The show's casting call notice invites participants who fall under the following criteria:
"Casting moms who have been through a divorce and their kids 5-18 years old for interviews regarding how divorce effects people at different ages! If this is you or someone you know please contact us ASAP-we want to hear your story!
Also Seeking MOMS who are addicted to Plastic Surgery!
Are you or someone you know addicted to plastic surgery? Have you spent your child's (ren) college tuition on botox, liposuction, etc.? If this sound like you or someone you know contact us Immediately-we want to hear your story!" (Source: RealityWanted.com)
It's unclear whether the Momlogic show is affiliated in any way with Warner Bros. TV's highly successful site MomLogic.com, a news and information site geared towards mothers, and one that features dozens of articles, videos and community message boards on beauty, fashion and health.
An addiction to plastic surgery can be an expensive habit, and researchers estimate that approximately 2% of the American population pursuing plastic and cosmetic surgery are already struggling with an obsession with perfection.
