Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
My most rewarding experinece I had working with a patient was with a gentleman who came to see me in terrible shape. He had seen several other doctors who told him that due to his chronic diabetes and a foot ulcer, he would need an amputation. With a little patience, education, and several weeks of wound care we were able to save his foot....no amputation. After he was improved, it motivated him to start exercising more, and taking care of his health. He lost over 50 pounds and his blood sugar has been stable. I love being able to see how he has got his hope back and a new lease on life.
What does living in the Evergreen Park community mean to you?
I love working in Evergreen Park. It is a wonderful small community with a terrific set of residents. The people in the area are some of the most genuine, good -natured people I have ever met.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
The perfect outcome is always what looks good clinically to me, but most importantly, one that makes the patient happy with the way it feels and looks.
