This 25 year-old male from Cincinnati, Ohio wanted reconstruction of his gauged (expanded) earlobes. He had removed his earlobe inserts six months previously and have given enough time to see how much they would reduce in size. They shrunk down by about half. Dr. Barry Eppley, Indianapolis plastic surgeon, performed earlobe reduction/reconstruction getting the earlobes back down to a normal size and shape. While this does result in a fine line scar, it is quite thin and can barely be seen.
