Ask A Doctor Question:
who do you go to to have a mole that has changed removed and biopsied?
A skilled doctor with a gentle precise touch & some basic surgical skills can correctly biopsy or remove most moles just fine. When they are on the face or other highly visible areas, it is usually best to have surgery , even minor, performed by a surgeon trained in minimizing the scar and helping promote ideal healing. If the mole shows troublesome cells (the pathologist determines this) then additional skin may need to be removed.
