Clearly you are referring to a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) which as you know uses a person's own fat to naturally augment and size and shape of the buttocks. First liposuction techniques are used to harvest the donor fat from unwanted areas such as the abdomen, flanks, lower back and thighs. The fat is then processed or prepared and then re-injected into the desired area of augmentation. Not everyone wants fat transferred into the same areas as there are variations in what is considered an attractive buttocks. This can vary by ethnicity, individual desires and regional norms…..some patients want more projection, some want more width, some want a “shelf”, etc. Also, liposuction used alone (without re-injecting fat) can appear to augment the buttocks by removing fat in certain areas (low back and flanks) that make the buttocks appear to “stand out”. So liposuction can improve the appearance of lift and contour. As far as pricing goes it depends on each patient’s individual needs meaning how much liposuction needs to be done, amount of fat to be injected, operative time, etc. You are looking at surgeon’s fees, anesthesia fees and facility fees which vary by region, market etc. Each individual patient will need to be examined to make sure they are a suitable candidate with realistic expectations prior to giving a quote. I hope this helps.
