Q&A: Is there a Lasek Surgery with Glaucoma?

Ask A Doctor Question:

I am near-sighted, have an astigmatism, am down to 20% vision in each eye from Glaucoma, and had a catarat removed and replaced with a lens in my right eye.I have heard that any surgery to correct vision would entail my eye to be hardened prior to surgery. Is this correct and do you think I could benefit from this new surgery?

Actually, PRK or Epi-Lasik can be done without pressurizing the eye! If you are talking about your left eye (the one that has not had cataract surgery), you may want to have lens replacement surgery instead.
