Q&A: Is the Laser Bra Technique better for breast lift surgery?

Ask A Doctor Question:
Hi, I am doing research on breast lift and breast reduction surgery. I've read about the Laser Bra technique - unlike typical breast lift surgeries, the patient's breast tissue that is cut is not discarded with the Laser Bra technique, but is used to make an "internal bra" which can help the breast lift last longer. Also, I understand that the areolas are not cut and moved - they stay in place, unlike a regular breast lift surgery. These sound like great advantages to me. Shouldn't any woman looking for a breast lift/reduction have this technique done on her? Would love your thoughts. Thank you.
There are always newer techniques that are marketed to suggest an improvement of established techniques but the reality is that if you have drooping, you will most likey need an approach that lifts your nipple/areola as well; also, many techniques shape the breast ( I happen to use the spair which I have found consistent with good results over the last 15 or so years of using it). It's always important to visit websites of board certified plastic surgeons (not necessarily "cosmetic" surgeons) to see their results and then have consultations. I hope this helps and have a wonderful day!
