Q&A: How can I get a scar on my eyebrow removed or repaired?

Ask A Doctor Question:

Hello, I've been looking into getting my scar on my eyebrow removed or repaired for quite some time now. I would like to make it as least visible as possible but I just don't want any more hair of my eyebrow since it's already missing enough. Any suggestions on what I should do? The scar is vertical and goes straight down my eyebrow in a very visible position, and if you look at it from the side it sorta sticks out.

Hi Abraham.
Thanks for contacting our office.  We would be happy to meet with you regarding your needs.  There are possibly two options.   Making an incision to remove the scar, (replacing it) with a much less noticeable one.  Or we have a Sciton laser that may be able to help.  Give us a call to set up a consultation.
Thanks again.

Hi Abraham.  I would be happy to see you. Interestingly, once the non hair bearing scar is removed the brow can actually look normal.  It's a really good place to do a scar revision.  I use magnifying glasses, called loupes, to avoid injuring the hair follicles.  Dr. M
