Ask A Doctor Question:
i am not very confident with the appearance of my lips. everything inside is perfect, it just seems like the other appearance is sagging and bulges out from the lips them selves. i have never been pregnant and have not had children, is this something that i can correct without it affecting childbirth or should i want until after?

I am assuming that you are referring to the inner tissue or labia minora. It is not uncommon to have some excess tissue there that can be uncomfortable with certain activities and even more visible in certain clothing. There is a non surgical method to shrink some of this tissue, depending on the severity. Otherwise, surgical correction, called labiaplasty, may be performed to reduce the excess tissue. I hope this information helps! If you would like to look into one of these options further, please call the office and schedule a private consultation.
