Q&A: Can you inject someone else's fat for a Brazilian butt lift?

Ask A Doctor Question:

I know fat is taken from other parts of the body and injected into the buttox, but what if i don't have any fat in other parts of my body? Would i be able to use someone els's? And how much would it cost?

M. Mark Mofid, MD -

Fat cannot be transplanted from one individual to another for buttock fat grafting.  On the other hand, gluteal implants are an excellent alternative for patients who desire a larger buttock but don’t have available fat stores.  The cost for gluteal augmentation with implants is approximately $8500-$9000.

No you can not use some one else's fat. Your body will reject that person's fat and create a whole host of problems.. Your other option may be gluteal implants.
