I had my own LASIK in 1999 (was the 1st LASIK surgeon in NY NJ CT or PA to get LASIK himself) and it's a good procedure
if you have psoriasis or any similar condition, that often predisposes to DES or Dry Eye Syndrome
for patients with DRY EYES, LASEK is better than LASIK as it does NOT cause additional dryness
so if you have DRY EYES, get LASEK
if you do NOT have dry eyes, then you can get either LASIK or LASEK
LASIK is a cutting procedure, so is slightly less safe, but recovery is very quick
LASEK is a non-cutting procedure, so it always a bit safer, but recovery is a bit longer

hope this helps!

Psoriasis by itself may not be a contraindication for LASIK.  However, if you  also have chronic dry eye, LASIK would not be advised.  Your age and prescription could determine if you could be a candidate for another procedure such as Implantable Contact Lenses or cataract surgery.
