What to Expect with the Non-Surgical Nose Job

If you’ve been thinking about rhinoplasty (surgery for a nose job), you may be apprehensive about going under the knife and having to deal with all of the risks and side effects. Nose job surgery continues to be one of the most sought-after plastic surgery procedures in the United States, but there are other options available. Some people choose to get a non-surgical nose job, also known as the 15-Minute Nose Job, to correct minor imperfections in the facial profile and improve the overall appearance of the nose.

If you have been looking for a way to improve your looks without surgery, you may be a good candidate for the non-surgical nose job procedure. Here’s what you can expect from the treatment:

How the Non-Surgical Nose Job is Performed

Instead of cutting into the skin to manipulate the skin tissues, the non-surgical nose job is performed using a combination of dermal fillers. Dermal fillers such as Radiesse, Restylane and Artefill are made with strong and pliable materials, and can be injected under the skin to mimic the appearance of real skin tissues. These fillers typically do not require any allergy testing, because they are made with materials that are already present in the body.

The doctor can inject various amounts of the filler into the bridge of the nose, on the tip of the nose, or even around the nostrils to create the most attractive appearance. He or she can then mold and shape the filler into place to create a smooth and contoured look.

Procedure Time for the Non-Surgical Nose Job

According to Dr. Alexander Rivkin of Westside Medical Spa in New Jersey, a pioneer in the area of the Non Surgical Nose Job and rhinoplasty procedures, the non-surgical nose job can be performed in 30 minutes or less. He performs the procedure at his clinic on an outpatient basis, and says that results can last up to two and a half years.

Corrections Made with the Non-Surgical Nose Job

Dermal fillers can be used to correct a number of common problems in the appearance of the nose and the facial profile including:

  • Drooping tips
  • Crooked noses
  • Asymmetrical noses
  • Large bumps on the bridge
  • Misaligned nostrils

Is the Non-Surgical Nose Job Right for You?

The non-surgical nose job presents a number of benefits for those looking for an instant fix without surgery. If you are fearful of going under the knife for your procedure, you may be a good candidate for this temporary fix that can produce similar results.

Another reason to have this treatment instead of surgery is the cost. Most dermal fillers cost between $300 - $600 per injection, and the typical nose job may consist of only two to three injections at most. The total cost for the procedure may be significantly lower than the conventional nose job surgery, making it a more affordable option.
