Going into a medical spa is going to cost you money, there’s no doubt about it.  But if you come out looking a few years younger and get to spend an hour or more getting pampered, you may find yourself amongst the thousands a year that are finding it a worthwhile investment.

One advantage that many medical spa customers have when going in for their consultation is that they are not surprised by price.  And you shouldn’t have to be.  Though some procedures, especially the more invasive and extensive surgeries like a facelift or tummy tuck will vary significantly based on the patient, many minimally invasive procedures such as BOTOX injections are not as drastically different, and many doctors will even give you their price over the phone.

Here is a list of some of the top procedures along with approximate prices to help you better prepare for your next trip to the Medical Spa:

• BOTOX: about  $15 per unit (usually 20-30 units per cosmetic treatment).  Results last up to 4 months
• Restylane: approximately $500 per treatment (typically lasts 6-10 months)
• Laser hair removal: approximately $500 per treatment (approximately 4 treatments are usually recommended.
• Chemical Peel: $600 (price will vary depending on type of peel)
• Microdermabrasion: $200 (2-3 sessions are usually recommended)

And if you want save a little money, spas will sometimes run specials on specific treatments or give discounts for being treatment packages.  Of course, you could always talk a close friend or family member into getting you a gift card to your favorite medispa for that special occasion.
