Benefits of Reaction Body Contouring Treatments

Published Feb 26, 2010

Viora, a manufacturer and technology provider of several advanced radiofrequency systems used in aesthetic and medical practices released the Reaction RF body contouring device in February 2010, an innovative device that promises to tighten and tone the skin, and also eliminate the appearance of cellulite. The RF Reaction Device is the first and only FDA-cleared bipolar RF device with vacuum therapy for body contouring, and can deliver instant results for some people.

How Reaction Body Treatments Work

The Reaction device works by contracting tissue fibers and strengthening subcutaneous tissues around the hips, buttocks and thighs. The device delivers thermal energy deep into the skin to reduce water retention and triggers collagen production. Vacuum therapy improves blood flow and stimulates the metabolism, resulting in smoother and more youthful-looking skin shortly after treatment.

The Reaction device works at three different frequency channels to target a specific skin depth. The treatment depth varies depending on the degree of results needed. Deeper treatments are required for areas with thicker skin tissue such as the buttocks and thighs.

The applicator is easy to administer on almost any part of the body, and a smaller applicator can be used on the face and neck area to tighten up loose skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Key Benefits of Reaction Body Treatments

In a study that evaluated the performance of the Reaction device, patients that underwent the procedure noticed an 81 percent improvement in skin laxity and a significant reduction in wrinkles. In another study, patients noticed a 55 percent improvement in the appearance of cellulite.

Some of the key benefits of Reaction body treatments include:
  • Reducing appearance of lines and wrinkles
  • Eliminating bumps and uneven skin after liposuction surgery
  • Stimulates circulation
  • Increases collagen production
  • Tightens skin
  • Reduces inches around the waist and hips
  • Reduces appearance of cellulite
  • Helps reduce edema
  • Delivers results immediately
  • Device offers 144 treatment combinations
  • Can be customized to suit different skin types
The entire procedure can be performed in under an hour, depending on the treatment location, and is a non-invasive process so there is no downtime involved. Patients can resume regular activities immediately after the treatment, and may choose to undergo a series of treatments to achieve desired results.

In order to optimize and maintain results, patients do need to eat a healthy diet and maintain a consistent exercise regimen. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle while undergoing Reaction treatments means the individual can flush out toxins easily, and help the body recover as quickly as possible after each treatment session.

The Reaction device will be available at select medical spas and cosmetic surgery centers through 2010, and may be an affordable and more practical alternative to surgery. It has been sold around the globe for about a year, and received FDA clearance and Health Canada certification in 2010.
