Common Questions & Answers about Liposuction Surgery (Lipoplasty)

"hi, i'm a 31 yr. old female and had liposuction twice on my abdomen, i'm 5'3 and 110 pd. 80%of my body fat seem to be in my stomach, my first lipo i wasn't satisfied because the moment i ate food i got fat bulges coming out on my sides and lower ab, so my doc. redid it, it seems to me that he took out pretty much all the fat out, but my waist is still fatty feeling, it seems like i have fat rolls, but i think that maybe it could be excess skin, when i tighten my abs it goes pretty flat but my skin feels and looks like an old lady's skin, kind of like "chicken skin" very loose but the rest of my body my skin is very tight, but the first time he did my lipo my skin was firm, do you think that maybe he took out too much fat?.. do you recommend a tummy tuck for this, i don't want to do lipo again, and if you do recommend a tummy tuck how is the scar situation for this and also what if i decide to get pregnant will that put me back to square one or worse with stretch marks, please help..thanks"

Key Benefits of Liposculpture

On the quest for perfect curves and an ideal silhouette, thousands of people turn to body contouring procedures and liposuction to remove excess fat from trouble spots. Liposuction quickly and efficiently targets excess fatty tissue in areas of the body that are not responding to diet and exercise; body fat is dissolved and removed after just one procedure, and the surgery has made it easy for anyone to finally get rid of love handles and belly fat.

However, a minimally invasive procedure known as Liposculpture may be a valuable alternative for many those who want to avoid surgery. Instead of spending weeks recovering from the often painful liposuction procedure, Liposculpture patients can enjoy similar benefits and return to normal activities within a few days.

If you’re considering a fat removal procedure to enhance your figure, consider these key benefits of Liposculpture:

1. Very few scars. Since the Liposculpture procedure involves suctioning away fat with a very small tube, there is very little scarring involved. The canula used for suctioning is inserted through 2mm holes and these holes heal quickly after the treatment with minimal scarring.

2. Little discomfort. Liposculpture techniques have advanced over the years to become less painful and more effective. This means you can look forward to a reduced risk of bruising and discomfort during and after the procedure.

3. Uses a local anesthetic. Since Liposculpture is minimally invasive, you will not need to be asleep during the surgery. Local anesthesia is administered to numb the treatment area, and even when this wears off, you will not need an excessive amount of painkillers to manage pain.

4. Can be used on several parts of the body. The Liposculpture procedure is an efficient and delicate technique that may be used on areas near the face, the breasts, underarms, and other smaller areas that can be difficult to target with conventional liposuction. Experienced doctors can treat up to 10 different areas in one session (depending on your body type), reducing overall costs and requiring far less healing time.

5. Can remove up to 90 percent of the fat in the treatment area. Liposculpture techniques are becoming more refined and make it easier to target fat pockets in hard-to-reach areas. This means you can look forward to results with nearly 100 percent fat removal. In some cases, this can equate to up 10 – 15 pounds of pure body fat.

6. Improved skin tone without additional procedures. An experienced doctor will also implement a ‘skin rasping’ technique during the Liposculpture procedure, which promotes skin healing and stimulates collagen production. Collagen can boost the texture and tone of the skin, and also helps to rebuild healthy skin tissue for a more natural look during the critical weeks after surgery.

7. A better silhouette, even after weight gain. Liposculpture takes conventional liposuction procedures to the next level by adding attractive curves and contours to the natural body shape. Unlike liposuction, if you do gain weight after the procedure, the fat will be distributed naturally along the new curve lines. Weight gain after liposuction usually results in uneven fat formations that may require another treatment or procedure to correct.

8. Immediate results. The Liposculpture surgeon can effectively smooth out skin and fat distribution irregularities during the treatment, so you will not need any follow up care to get perfect results.

When you want to improve your figure and get rid of excess fatty tissue in your trouble spots, Liposculpture offers several advantages over conventional liposuction. If you’re struggling with a few extra pounds that are not responding to diet, exercise and lifestyle changes, a cosmetic treatment may be an ideal solution for getting the results you want.
