An Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system, EpiLight has a variable wavelength which makes it effective on a wide range of skin tones, but you must have hair colour that's darker than your skin.
How it's done
Your sex, complexion, hair colour and texture are entered into the system's computer and the right wavelength is chosen. It works in a similar way to the laser, but light is projected through a filter. You will need several treatments to clear an area.
Recovery
2 days.
Complications
Some clients get a mild burn; blisters are rare. Some dark-skinned clients may experience a change in skin pigmentation which usually fades in 6 months.
Cost
$200 to $1,700 per treatment.
