Dr. Alexander Hatsis is Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and double Board Certified in both LASIK and Incisional Refractive Surgery by the American Board of Eye Surgery.
Since Dr. Hatsis had been studying the healing effects of laser surgery on the human eye during the United States FDA clinical trials, he felt comfortable using the laser to perform the procedure. Dr. Hatsis was the first surgeon to perform refractive surgery with the Excimer laser on Long Island in 1995.
Our own experienced staff of licensed certified nurses and ophthalmic technicians have assisted Dr. Hatsis with thousands of procedures since our 1st vision correction surgery was performed in 1985.
Dr. Hatsis has performed tens of thousands of in-office refractive surgery procedures for over 19 years in his private practice located in Rockville Centre. He was the first ophthalmologist to perform Excimer laser surgery on Long Island in 1995.
