My experience with Amelia Hirota has been exceptional, and truly life-changing. After suffering from my third consecutive miscarriage within one year in July 2008, I began receiving treatment from Amelia. During my first treatment, Amelia thoroughly reviewed my medical history and listened patiently and compassionately as I explained the circumstances surrounding the three miscarriages. Also, Amelia educated me on the benefits of acupuncture, not only for fertility but for general health. During subsequent treatments, Amelia continued to educate me on fertility issues as well as healthier lifestyle choices. After six months of treatments, and having implemented the lifestyle changes recommended by Amelia, the physical results are evident ? I used to have heavy periods which lasted longer than a week and now I have lighter periods that last no more than 4-5 days, and my luteal phase has increased from 8 to 11. Also, my basal body temperatures have become more steady and consistent. But equally as important to me are the emotional and spiritual changes to my mind and soul. Amelia helped me to understand the importance of balance between body, mind and soul, and discover the power of spiritual healing. I credit Amelia for opening my eyes to the world of holistic health. Although my husband and I have not yet attempted to conceive again, I know that our fertility journey has been positively impacted by Amelia, and I would whole-heartedly recommend her services to anyone facing a situation like ours.

Hello, My name is Roma and I have endometriosis. When I saw my GYN doctor a few months ago I was told that I had to do surgery again because of the pain. The pain had become unbearable. I did not want to do surgery. He told me my options were to do the surgery or acupuncture. I did not want to do surgery and I hate needles. I had to make a choice. I went home and told my parents what the doctor told me. My father then told me about an acupuncturist that he had seen about 10 years ago. He said that she was a wonderful person and really cared about her patients. He said that she was the only person that had helped him with his slipped disc injury. The chiropractor did nothing for him. I called her the next day. To my surprise when I told her who I was she remembered my father. The same response he gave me about her was the same response she gave me about him. I made an appointment and went to see her 2 days later. My first impression of this Dr was that she was a happy person. She just had a smile the whole time that we talked and she told me she would do her best to help me. When I went to see her I was in a lot of pain. I had pain a few days before I got my period and during my period. It?s now been about 2 1/2 months later and the pain has been drastically reduced. I decided that I will continue seeing her for as long as I can because she has helped me a lot. I enjoy the acupuncture and look forward to my visits. For anyone who suffers from endometriosis or has pain from anything else and your tired of all the painkillers, birth control pills and what ever else you take, my advice is to please try acupuncture especially with Dr. Woo you will have no regrets. I have been suffering from pain with endometriosis since I was 14 years old I?m now 34, I have taken Motrin 800, Lupron injections, birth control pills and have even had surgery done but I can tell you that the acupuncture has really helped me. If for some reason you need to ask me anything about my experience with the acupuncture please give Dr. Woo your phone number and I will be happy to call you back. I really believe that Dr. Woo has changed my life and I think that she can change yours too. She really is an amazing Dr. Best Regards, Roma

I have been a patient of Amelia Hirota, L.Ac. for several years now. There is not enough space here to tell you how talented and compassionate Amelia is. Her knowledge of acpuncture, herbs and overall medical issues is boundless. No matter what problem I came to Amelia with she gave me unlimited time and attention. I have always believed in the art of Acupuncture but truly believe Acupunture is only as good as the practitioner performing it. I would not hestitate to recommend anyone to Amelia and in fact have referred many people to her and they have all been very pleased with their treatments as well.

After a very long time with poor vision of 20/280 and 20/80; double vision, etc., my vision is now clear. This is due to acupuncture. Years ago I began seeking medical treatment for my eyes. At that time the diagnosis was that there would not be any corrective lenses available for me: my doctor told me that my vision would gradually deteriorate and could not be recovered. The condition was monitored and vision checked annually. Years of lab tests finally confirmed that there was an extreme deficiency of Vitamin A in my body. I began oral therapy with Vitamin A tablets and had labs routinely. Finally a confirmation by the physician that for some unknown reason my body was not absorbing Vitamin A orally. Vitamin A injections began. After repeated labs the Vitamin A levels began to show lower values; furthermore, my vision was not improving and I discovered that I was allergic to Vitamin A injections. I decided after consultation with my doctor to stop the injections for lack of evidence that it was working. After only one treatment with acupuncture my vision became very clear. After the initial visit with Atara Noiade and acupuncture, I was able to see the bottom line of the eye chart. I was surprised and excited about the results! After returning to my physician for a routine exam my vision was not only better: My vision had returned to the normal 20/20 in both eyes. The physician was astounded and said ?he did not know why it had improved so much but he would have to say that acupuncture treatment by Atara Noiade obviously was a huge influence?. I am so grateful to have my vision restored! I highly recommend Atara Noiade, Licensed Acupuncturist.

Tom Ingegno is not only caring, pleasant, and personable, he is also very knowledgable and thorough. I have finally found relief from chronic back pain with acupuncture. The office is clean and comfortable. When I go for treatment its as if I'm visiting a friend. His rates are also very reasonable. I've recommended him to all my co-workers.

I was having severe pain which two MDs and a DO all agreed was a sciatic nerve problem. After months of treatment the pain kept me in a wheelchair. One physician recommended I try acupuncture as nothing else was working. I consulted several health care professionals about who to see. They recommended Pamela Bellamy. The first time I visited, my daughter had to wheel me in. After 2 weeks (4 visits), I was able to get myself into the office with a walker. After a few more weeks I was functioning with a cane. There has been no return of the sciatic nerve pain. Pam Bellamy was most professional while displaying boundless compassion. I continue to see her periodically and my physician is delighted with the ongoing improvement to my health. My use of prescription drugs is greatly reduced. I have found that though Pam Bellamy is kind and compassionate, she has no problem pointing out (sternly) when I fail to do my part in maintaining my own health. She does this whether I want to hear it or not. Not a bad combination - Professionalism, Compassion AND Honesty.

Several things impressed me about my visit with Pamela Bellamy, L.Ac. One, she took nearly two hours with me in my first visit, going over every aspect of my health. In detail, we explored my diet, habits and lifestyle to help guide my choices in ways that could allow me to take back my health. She provided me with resources to better educate myself on taking a more proactive roll in my health, including informative sites on the internet and books which might help to inform and inspire me. Her direct and honest in approach in telling you what you "need" to hear is presented in a very professional, supportive, and encouraging way. My experience has shown me through treatments which extend beyond the scheduled session and are directed, not only at the immediate imbalance but at improving one's lifestyle, Pamela has a genuine concern for others' well being.

If you are suffering from spring allergies, you are not alone. Over 26 million Americans deal with chronic seasonal allergies according to the National Center of Health Statistics. This figure does not include people who may just be dealing with more minor symptoms from allergies, but if it did, it is presumed that number would shoot up to 40 million people.

  • For those of you who don’t know, acupuncture is a form of traditional Eastern medicine backed by modern science, where ultra-thin, sterile needs are inserted into specific points of the body. When stimulated, these points impact the way the body functions. Due to the versatility of this treatment, acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of health issues including discomfort during pregnancy and infertility.
