It has been proven that women are at a serious risk of heart disease when the carry around as little as 10 pounds more weight that their dietary guidelines say they should. The guidelines put out for your weight and fat percentage help guide you to better health. Many people will be surprised to find out that they are over weight. Athletes are often over weight. However, we need to take into consideration the body fat percent. Finding out that you are carrying too much fat can put you at risk for serious heart disease. Being just 10 pounds overweight or too high in fat percent is creating problems for your heart. Much of this can be found in the book titled Diet and Nutrition put out by Cardio Moves at www.cardiomoves.com. Dr. Stephen Sinatra, a cardiologist and author is also spreading the news in his unsettling new book Heart Sense For Women.
Reports state over and over again that approximately 500,000 women alone will die each year from heart disease.
Studies that indicate most North Americans are practicing an unhealthy diet and lifestyle is alarming to most. Reports state over and over again that approximately 500,000 women alone will die each year from heart disease. Many are walking around thinking that it is just their metabolism slowing down with age or "oh well", I haven?t lost the weight from having my first baby. These comments all too true are none the less all to real and should be taken more seriously instead of off the cuff. Diet and nutrition is not just for looks, it is for a realistic life improvement.
Whatever the reason for the gain in weight, it needs to be noted that they are at great risk along with many others if they do not change their lifestyle and get started on a regular exercise program. This risk of heart disease can be reversed. There are many fitness centers now who carry onboard certified nutritional consultants and personal trainers. Lady of American in Frankfort, Illinois is one of the centers recommended by Cardio Moves at www.cardiomoves.com. Lady of America?s fitness center is a Franchise owned and operated by Scott Kramer.
Women who become educated in proper nutrition and fitness can have a more improved and better quality of life. Life extension has now been proven to be a reality when you take proper care and conditioning of the body. Women sleep better after exercising regularly and wake up with more energy and vitality. Exercise helps the skin to glow because the blood is circulating and nourishing the cells. Exercise burns those unwanted calories and strengthens your muscles which increases your metabolic rate for a faster decrease in fat percentage. Please remember to always consult your doctor regarding any new exercise routine. After his approval seek out a qualified fitness environment.
Pam, the fitness coordinator at Scott Kramer?s Lady of America, stresses proper and safe body mechanics for an effective Cardio workout. If she has mentioned it once a day she has mentioned it 12 times "I like to be safe". This is true when exercising in a group or alone.
To be safe you need to be learning and educating yourself on a continuos bases. Talking to others regarding articles they may have read and stay focused on this preventative medicine.
Kim Droxe recently wrote an article for ediet.com. Her article noted an interview with Dr. Sinatra: "Excess weight raises the level of triglycerides (fats) in the blood and increases the likelihood that a woman will develop high blood pressure or non-insulin-dependent adult onset diabetes, all of which increase the risk of heart disease."
Kim states "The heart specialist backs up his findings with research conducted by the likes of the prestigious Harvard Medical School and the far-reaching Nurse?s Health Study."
"You can?t beat Dr. Sinatra?s impressive list of credentials. He's a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, director of Medical Education at Manchester Memorial Hospital (Connecticut), Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and founder of the New England Heart and Longevity Center."
Dr. Sinatra states several warning signs that tell women to take caution:
pain or pressure in the chest
discomfort in the back
pain or tingling of jaw, elbow, or arm
tightening in the throat
Indigestion
nausea, vomiting,
stomach upset
dizziness
The best time to start prevention is in your twenties. When women wait until they reach the age of 45 to 50, the incidence of heart disease is much greater because of the lowering of estrogen levels found after 45. Dr. Sinatra states "If women wait to start prevention at age 45 to 50, it could be too late".
The best thing we can do is to spread the word that women need to begin a serious diet and exercise routine because heart disease is a serious matter. Often women find out about their heart disease when it is too late and sudden death has occurred.

Decreasing your intake of animal products such as, cheese, chicken, eggs, etc. will help reduce the fat level in your body. Dr. Michael Klaper in his video "A Diet For All Reasons" tell us in very gross detail what these animal products are actually doing to our bodies. His video is 60 minutes and will educate you in a way you will not forget. He suggests eating a diet consisting of fresh vegetables, fruit and natural foods for our natural bodies. He has created many recipes at the end of his video as well as on his website to help women with an easy transition for their new life style.
Chocolate lovers will be happy to hear that studies are indicating antioxidants which fight cancer are found in many of our favorite treats.
My 8 year old daughter, Samantha Nayder, is a vegetarian by choice. She has a natural dislike for any animal products. Animal products are high in fat and difficult for our body to digest properly. She enjoys her peanut butter and "All Fruit". She prefers to eat salads and many natural products. Chocolate soy milk is very popular at our house. Try whipping it and freezing it in your freezer for a special, safe treat you can give to your family without guilt.
When baking, a good and moderate change would be to substitute your oil in the recipe with applesauce. Another idea is when making your breakfast pancakes, to make whole wheat pan cakes with juice instead of water.
Once you get the idea of eating more nutrient rich foods and less foods that our bodies have a hard time digesting, it becomes easier and starts to be fun thinking of new recipes from your old ones.
Chocolate lovers will be happy to hear that studies are indicating antioxidants which fight cancer are found in many of our favorite treats. Please remember though, it also has a realistic fat content.
Green tea is a safe alternative to supple you with cancer fighting antioxidants without giving you the fat content found in chocolate candy. Chocolate candy has been proven to actually calm and satisfy our brain. Please remember moderation. It is easy to gain those extra pounds if we are not careful. Those extra pounds are the ones that put us at a serious risk for heart disease.
